Anjali Claire, born 10.07.2012

This is Anjali Claire, born Sunday October 7th. 7 pounds 12 ounces and 19.5 inches long.

She is our first child and all of us are doing terrific.

Her first name means “divine offering” in Sanskrit. I’m United Methodist clergy, and my spouse is a Baron Baptiste yoga instructor, so we felt that her name was not only beautiful but reflective of both our passions.

I’ll be on paternity leave from my local church for a while, but expect some 3am blog posts if inspiration strikes (and both arms are free…) 🙂

And yes, she is perfect.

(That is a lightsaber from a Build-a-Bear that my youth gave me last year…this is what happens when I watch her!)

You re warping her already! I’m laughing. My daughter, Jessica, was raised on Star Wars, not only did it not hurt her, but it didn’t really take. Hope you do better than I did.

Anjali is every bit as beautiful as Jessica said, And your lives are about to take off in directions you never imagined. Enjoy the trip!

Every time a child is born, God says, “I’ll let the world go on a little longer.”

May Anjali grow up strong, happy, and healthy, and continue to bring her parents joy.
