This weekend, I’m a Workshop Leader at Exploration 2011, a biannual event hosted by the United Methodist Church for young persons discerning a call into ministry. My workshop is for adult chaperones and young adult ministry workers. There’s 75 people signed up for it. Here’s the description:
Maintaining Relationships with Young Adults
Come learn about technology, communication and boundaries when maintaining relationships with young adults in your ministry settings. Talk about innovative ways to connect to the next generation of leaders and share ideas for what has worked in your area of ministry.
I hope to post my presentation here after I get feedback from the event.
But…that’s not all.
I am also one of three primary bloggers for the event. I’ll be in charge of writing, reflecting, and reporting events at #explo2011. And I’ll link to attendees who are also blogging and tweeting about the event. So if you are there, drop a comment and let me know about your blog so I can include it in my write-ups.
But…that’s not all.
Here’s the fun part: there’s no centralized group blog that I’ll be posting to. Instead, the GBHEM opted for a decentralized approach: They will send out emails and texts and link to the blog posts of the individuals.
That’s right. I’ll be posting all my #Explo2011 blog posts here at HackingChristianity.net. Your feed readers are about to get really full.
So from Friday-Sunday, look for several posts a day about #Explo2011. You’ll get a lot out of them hopefully. But if that’s not your bag, feel free to skip the weekend posts and come back for regular content on Monday.
Thanks. Blessings.
Kirk

Happy to be one of the bloggers joining you on this adventure. It will be cool to meet up and this actually has been the catalyst for me to finally return to my blog after some time off! See you in St. Louis on Friday. I am also leading a workshop that was supposed to be a panel but I guess is me solo.
