BU Chapel’s Lessons and Carols

I got my theological training at Boston University School of Theology, one of the schools which is rare to find in United Methodist pastors in Oklahoma…I think I’m currently the only one with a BU MDiv actually.

In addition to top-notch theological training, the music during Chapel services was always a treat every year. Here’s the Chapel Choir (or is it the Chancel Choir?) singing a medley of carols…it’s awesome.

Take a look & listen:

You can also watch it at BU Online.

It’s the Marsh Chapel Choir. I was in it for two years. :o) I also sang with the BU Seminary Singers for three years, who sing two pieces in L&C each year. This year I was privileged to join the Seminary Singers as an alumna for a fourth year of L&C, which is a deeply theological, meditative, and joyous service. You can find the entire service on BUniverse, and you can find the Sunday morning shortened version in iTunes on the Marsh Chapel podcast. If you listen to it, you will understand a little bit about why choral singing is such an important part of my spirituality.

I’m glad some people in the world can do that. I sure can’t.

Notice you said that you live in OK…where at? I’m in Tulsa. Just curious; not gonna stalk you or anything. 🙂
