Life continues in a patchwork fashion across United Methodism…we have a lot of work to do.

What will keep us from being perpetually locked in the iron cage death match that has become of our General Conference gatherings?
Three denominations who have already achieved a level of LGBTQ equality within their traditions have written letters in support of The United Methodist Church during its General Conference as they discuss LGBTQ inclusion as well.
The Bishops were requested to lead, and they did, and the General Conference voted to let them…eventually.
The “Unity until a Commission Report” by the Council of Bishops move benefits all sides and allows the middle of Methodism to guide the conversation.
This is not a radical new plan that will finally get things right and turn around the church. This is a slush fund.
Straight ally clergy will use their privilege to deny harm done to LGBTQ clergy through disciplinary actions.
Antagonistic agreement over LGBTQ Inclusion is not necessary, or even practical, in our global denomination.
